FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SWORD, a specialist international IT Product and Services Company focused on the compliance management market, has been appointed by Shenhua Ningxia Coal Group (SNCG) to deliver their Fusion product to manage the build and maintenance of their $1.5 billion Coal to Chemicals production plant. The project, which is already underway, is based in Beijing and will move to the autonomous province of Ningxia in the North West of China.
SWORD were chosen as suppliers based mainly on their proven ability to deliver innovative proven solutions on time and on budget in the energy sector, along with their significant domain expertise. SWORD Fusion is the world’s leading solution for managing technical content and processes in the energy and related construction industry and greatly reduces the associated cost and risk.
Another important factor in the decision making process was the ability for SNCG to deliver a multi-lingual web based interface with the added benefit of being able to use a lower cost labour base to input data in native Mandarin.
Terry Coyne, SWORD’s Sales Manager responsible for international business for Cimage Fusion comments “we are delighted and proud to have been chosen by SNCG and look forward to building a long term partnership with them for the lifecycle of this project. This new business is a considerable addition to our expanding presence in China for Fusion and has paved the way for us to broaden our existing SWORD channel partnerships and to develop new relationships in China and throughout South East Asia”
SWORD, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, is pleased to announce a two way integration between their Fusion product and Microsoft’s SharePoint product. The resulting system combines the security and control of the Fusion document repository with the information sharing and collaboration of SharePoint.
Fusion within SharePoint provides Microsoft SharePoint users with capability to search the Fusion repository, retrieve and submit documents. Thanks to an intelligent link between the two systems, when documents in the Fusion repository are updated, these can be automatically reflected in SharePoint to ensure that everybody is looking at the latest version. The ability for SharePoint users to utilise the Fusion repository without requiring them to leave their native SharePoint environment, enables the wider roll-out of the Fusion benefits with minimal extra training.
SharePoint within Fusion provides Fusion users with the ability to participate in Microsoft SharePoint collaboration facilities including project discussion threads and project lists such as contacts, tasks and issues – all from within their familiar Fusion environment.
Karl Noakes, Director of the Partner Development Group at Microsoft said: ‘As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, SWORD is among the elite of the Microsoft partner community. Our Gold partners are highly equipped to deliver business-driven technology solutions to their customers and are highly valued by Microsoft.’
