SWORD’S WORLD LEADING CIMAGE FUSION SOLUTION FOR MANAGING CONTENT SELECTED BY PETROCHINA

SWORD, a specialist international IT Product and Services Company focused on the compliance management market, has been appointed by PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical Company (GXPC) to deliver their Cimage Fusion product to manage information relating to the build and maintenance of a new $1.6 billion oil refinery in Qinzhou in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, South West China.
When completed in 2008, the new refinery will process up to 10 million tonnes a year of crude oil to produce petroleum and petrochemical products for the local market.

SWORD were chosen as suppliers based on their proven ability to deliver innovative proven solutions on time and on budget in the energy sector, along with their significant domain expertise. Cimage Fusion is the world’s leading solution for managing technical content and processes in the energy and related construction industry and greatly reduces the associated cost and risk.
Another important factor in the decision making process was the ability for PetroChina to deploy a multi-lingual web based interface in native Mandarin.
